Stowmarket based digital agency triumphs at prestigious awards ceremony

Stowmarket based digital agency, Orbital Media, is celebrating a hat-trick of industry awards. The team received a win and two highly commended accolades in the OTC (Over The Counter) consumer healthcare industry’s prestigious Marketing Awards 2018.

Orbital Media scooped the winner’s trophy in the Best OTC Social Media Campaign category, for its “Real World Evidence via Digital & Social Media, Infacol Project”. Infacol is a leading, infant colic brand, owned by Teva Pharmaceuticals. Run by industry magazine, OTC Bulletin, the awards recognise the best of the British OTC consumer healthcare industry, with award nominations selected by more than 60 judges.

Orbital Media were recognised for developing one of the most important and innovative OTC digital campaigns of the last 30 years, which is now set to revolutionise the OTC industry. Historically, healthcare brands have relied upon costly and time-consuming Randomised Clinical Trials (RCTs) to support their product licensed indications and claims. Thanks to Orbital Media’s pioneering Real World Evidence (RWE) via Digital and Social Media campaign, brands can now utilise this ground breaking methodology for a tiny fraction of the cost and time. The methodology has been supported by key industry regulatory bodies including the ABPI, PAGB and MHR.

Peter Brady, Chief Executive Officer, at Orbital Media comments: “We are thrilled to be recognised once again at these prestigious awards. This campaign not only stood out against the other entries, but we believe this unique methodology will have a truly seismic impact on the healthcare industry, with  up to  £1  billion of value created over 5 years, via new product marketing claims and saved clinical trial costs.  Orbital Media is currently the only operator in the market place, offering this unique service.”

The judges described the campaign as “revolutionising traditional data-collection methodologies”“driving innovative brand change” and “true innovation in the digital space”. The campaign has also been recognised by the prestigious, international Nicholas Hall OTC Marketing Awards, who have shortlisted it in the ‘Worldwide Marketing Award’ category. The winner will be announced at the European OTC Conference in Barcelona, on 19th – 20th April 2018.

Orbital Media also received two highly commended accolades in the OTC Awards, one for their Infacol project in the Best OTC Digital or Mobile Marketing Campaign category, and a second in the Best OTC Social Media Campaign category, for their work with Sudocrem.
