The UK National Construction Expo 2018

Over 2,000 developers, project managers, government bodies, construction companies, architectural and design firms, technology companies, and legal professionals will gather together to discuss the latest trends in the UK construction industry, taking place at Arena MK Milton Keynes on 18th September 2018.

The UK construction industry employs approximately 10% of the UK’s workforce and is worth over £150 billion to the overall economy.

Under the central theme “Solid Foundation - Stronger Future”, key topics this year will incorporate Brexit, property management, smart buildings, sustainability, public and private housing, technology and innovation.

In the wake of declines in construction output, delegates will debate how the UK can maintain its construction and property industry to meet the real and pressing needs of the UK and create a stable long term future for the industry. Delegates will also discuss the uncertainties of Brexit and the free movement of skilled foreign labour.

Key Speakers include:

  •  Property Ombudsman Katrina Sporle, CEO of the British Board of Agrement Claire Curtis-Thomas
  • Elisabetta Bricchetto & James Honour from the BREEAM Scheme
  • Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 Lee Brown.
  • CEO of Corbett Keeling Jim Keeling will also be in attendance, alongside co-speaker Tony Williams.

The speakers will cover a range of issues from the property sector and business management, to sustainability and data communications. Sponsors for this year’s event include Stay Safe PPE Ltd. The expo will provide an opportunity for professionals to meet the key stakeholders within the construction industry.

Co-Located Conferences

Alongside the main expo, five co-located events will also be held in Arena MK on the 18th September 2018. Fitout Live UK, Health & Safety Live UK, the National Engineering Summit, the National Facility Management and Maintenance Show, and the Smart and Green Building Show will all take place, bringing together over 1500 delegates, 30 speakers, and 50 exhibitors from across the industry.
